Brandon Ellison is the oldest of six children. He was born in Salt Lake City, but his family moved to Fort Worth, TX, when he was a first grader. In high school he was involved in choir and drama, and was named “Mr. CHS” (Crowley High School). Shortly after graduation, Brandon’s family moved back to Utah and settled in Hyrum. He attended the former Rick’s College in Rexburg, ID, and performed with the group, “Showtime.” After his freshman year, he headed to South America for two years to serve as a missionary in Brazil.

He had thought about transferring to BYU when he got home, but his mother had other plans for him. Knowing that his talents would be well served in USU’s department of Programs and Entertainment (and that he would be much closer to home), she sent in a video tape on his behalf while he was still on his mission. Brandon was subsequently offered one of the sought after spots in the Sunburst Singers/Aggie Carolers group.

Brandon joined Eclipse during the summer of 2003. His smooth tenor voice has fit in nicely with the rest of the group, not only on stage, but in the recording of Eclipse’s Christmas album, “Three Kings,” (he sings lead on tracks 4, 6, and 8). When he’s not crooning to the ladies, Brandon likes playing basketball, snowboarding, and reading a good book.
